On 2 March we began the next exciting chapter in the Sensis story. We completed the sale of Sensis to Thryv, the leading US small business software and marketing services company.
We’re excited about the sale as Thryv is not only a very successful marketing services business similar to Sensis but it is also a leader in software-as-a-service (SaaS) for small-medium businesses. For Sensis to have the opportunity to launch Thryv in Australia will be an exciting next chapter for our Company.
Thryv has won many awards for its unique software solution that has been specifically designed for small-medium business. It brings together all the digital features that a business owner or manager needs, from online bookings through to social media and reviews management as well as quoting, invoicing, taking payments and listings management, all in one easy to use package. Plus Thryv has over 20 industry customisations and a fully mobile interface, technology previously reserved for big businesses will soon be at the fingertips of small-medium business owners across Australia.
Nasdaq-listed Thryv (NASDAQ: THRY) sees Australia as a significant market and has a very strong reputation in supporting businesses to succeed. We’ll be working hard to bring our own Aussie version of Thryv to you later this year.
For now, it really is business as usual with no changes in service to our customers and partners.
I want to thank our fabulous customers and partners for their support. We look forward to being able to help you grow your business over the years to come.
John Allan
Sensis CEO
This is a transformational acquisition for Thryv, and one that will help Australian small businesses better compete in a digital economy. COVID-19 has radically reshaped the perspective of small businesses around the globe. Solutions that ensure SMBs have the tools they need to generate confidence and convenience for their customers have gone from a ‘nice to have’ to a ‘must have’ in this post-pandemic world.
The acquisition of Sensis follows our strategy of expanding internationally where small businesses are ready to modernize their operations in order to serve their customers faster and more efficiently – from anywhere, including mobile devices.
By introducing the Thryv software to the Australian market, we’re confident we can make an impact on Australian SMBs, the five million people they employ, and the consumers who rely on their small business success.”
